Prompt Paul

Prompt Paul is a Chrome extension for AI work in the browser. It can process selected text, page content, provider-supported images, audio, video, PDF text, and bounded text from supported dropped documents.
Content is sent to your chosen model provider only when you explicitly ask Prompt Paul to process it. Supported dropped documents are converted locally into bounded text; the raw files are not uploaded. Provider retention and processing are governed by that provider's terms.
API keys and settings stay in Chrome storage. Codex subscription credentials remain with the background worker and are excluded from backups. Web grounding is off by default; when enabled, a model-generated query may be sent to Brave Search.
Act is off by default. When enabled, bounded page metadata is sent to your chosen model for that run. Passwords, payment fields, one-time codes, destructive actions, unsafe links, and arbitrary JavaScript remain blocked.
Extension analytics are opt-in and send only coarse event labels plus a rotating pseudonymous instance ID. They do not send page URLs, page content, API keys, or prompt text. If you have questions, contact juan.mackie@gmail.com.
Site integrations
Analytics is disabled unless a public Google Analytics or Umami configuration is supplied at build time. If enabled, the selected provider receives its standard website-usage data.
When enabled, the Last.fm panel requests public recent-track data for the configured username directly from Last.fm. It does not perform account actions.
The selected theme is stored locally in your browser. No account is required for the site.
Messages sent through the optional site chat are sent to the configured automation service. Do not send confidential, safety-sensitive, or personal information through chat; email is the direct contact route.
